Tiffany, 21

Designer Tiffany Maxwell has always known the value of the creative thought process.  Growing up in Los Angeles, she was surrounded by eccentric individuals that propelled her artistic point of view. When she was younger, she found herself inspired by fashion.  Her favorite time of the day was making paper garments during arts and crafts classes.  As she got older, her pastime grew into a true passion and potential career, as she would style her friends for outings and special events.

In an effort to further her knowledge of fashion, she enrolled in Woodbury University as a fashion design major.  At Woodbury, she has made a name for herself with her unique approach to design.

As a new talent in the fashion world, Tiffany has tried to absorb all that she could by involving herself in specific aspects of the industry.  In addition to doing freelance design work for various clients, she has also gained experience in fashion merchandising and personal relations for various fashion companies. While working in these fashion-related fields, Tiffany learned the importance of designing for potential customers.  Her experiences have encouraged her to bridge the relationship between fashion design as an art form and a consumer-based industry.

In addition to pursuing fashion, Tiffany is self taught in drawing, painting, and sculpture. Occasionally, she has art shows in Hollywood where she displays various experimental pieces that utilize multimedia techniques.

Tiffany’s design aesthetic can be defined as an avant-garde approach to a commonplace world.  Her designs focus on the elements of color, form, and texture and how they relate to one another.

As a contestant on Sole Perspective, Tiffany hopes to add a sense of sophistication to the competition.  Although her design experience is primarily in garments, she understands that shoes are equally significant to fashion, and thus, they must be treated with the same intellectual approach.
